Hi there Scrapbook & Cards Today fans! It’s Aly Dosdall back again with another Tools Today post to share with you along with a process video. Today I’m going to introduce you to a game-changing tool that is super versatile and will save you some crafting time as well.
Say hi to the Fringe and Score Board from We R Memory Keepers! With this handy tool you can cut or score multiple lines at one time in ½ inch or 1 inch widths. This tool is perfect for making paper rosettes, fringe, tassels, or simply for cutting paper strips. It’s great for party decor, but you can also use it for making cards, scrapbook pages, and other paper crafts as well.
I used the Fringe and Score Board to make the woven paper background on this card. Using the tool to cut the paper strips saved me a lot of time on this card. I mean seriously, cutting five lines at one time? Yes, please! Plus, I love the cool look of the paper weaving.
I made a video tutorial showing all the awesome features of the Fringe and Score Board, as well as how I used it to make the woven paper background for this card. Click play to watch!
Once you’ve made the woven background for your card, add your sentiment and a few simple embellishments so your pretty paper weaving stands out.
I used my woven paper for a card, but you could use it for many different projects. Try making 1” stripes and creating a woven paper background for a 12x12 scrapbook page!
Thanks so much for letting me stop by and share this amazing tool with you. It’s so versatile and handy--definitely a great investment for any crafter, and one of my go-to tools. If you have any questions about the Fringe and Score Board, feel free to ask in the comments below. Happy Crafting!
~Aly
