Scrapbook & Cards Today Blog: 11th Birthday Celebration

Good morning SCT friends! Our 11^th birthday celebration is drawing near, but we are not quite finished yet! On day 10 we have our sweet friend Jen Gallacher here to share the sweetest party favour bags ever! We’re also so happy to welcome our friends from Echo Park Paper, Pinkfresh Studio and Hero Arts Stamps who are joining in on today's fun! Just wait until you see what they have added to our loot bag today!

“Hey, Jen Gallacher here so excited to be celebrating SCT Magazine’s 11^th Birthday. What a milestone! I thought it would be fun to share a party favor bag idea that you can easily create with just a few tools. Follow the instructions below for more details.

Step 1: Use a manual die cut machine to cut three bags from patterned paper.

Step 2: Assemble the boxes by using the folds in the die cut shape.

Step 3: Wrap white crochet twine around the center of the box three to four times and tie into a bow on the left side of the box shape.

Step 4: Pleat white crepe paper strips into circles and staple in the center of a white doily.

Step 5: Mount the crepe paper and doily circle on the front of each bag.

Step 6: Attach a teal balloon to the center of each crepe paper doily with a glue dot. This will allow the party guest to remove and use the balloon later.

Step 7: Decorate each box with party or birthday image stickers. Then dress up each sticker with additional embellishments including enamel dots in bright colors and twine.

This project uses the beautiful “Summer Dreams” from Echo Park Paper. I simply concentrated on using some of the more party-themed stickers and elements to create the bags! ~ Jen Gallacher

Wow you guys have outdone yourselves! Jen!!! THOSE BOXES!!! Oh MY!!! Can't wait to make these they would be perfect for my daughter's 11th birthday next month! Those PinkFreshStudio stamps are so sweet. Echo Park is bringing on the Summer Fun alright...great products all around.
