Most of you are probably already familiar with the cutting tip that I'm going to share, but if I can help save time and effort for even a few of you, well then it's worth mentioning. :)
When cutting tiny letters with my Silhouette to incorporate into a design, I like to group the letters together. It makes it so much easier to adhere the title to my design, and the spacing between the letters is always absolutely perfect.
The image below shows my "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" sentiment cut two ways. Individual letters, and then again with a narrow strip added beneath the sentiment, and welded together.
When adhering the welded sentiment to your card, you have two options. You can leave the added strip visible, as I have done on the two cards that I created, as well as on the example below.
OR, you can conceal the strip beneath patterned paper to create the appearance of individual letters.
I have a few basic screen shots to share on how I created this effect.
Step 1. Create text, as well as a narrow rectangular strip.
Step 2. Position and center the narrow strip directly below the letters. Make sure that they're touching, or ever so slightly overlapping.
Step 3. Under the "EDIT" bar, select "SELECT ALL."
Step 4. Click the "WELD" function to weld the selected shapes into one shape.
Super easy, super quick, and a real time saver!!!

What a great tip! I don't often cut out individual letters because I hate having to position each one. I have a Cricut Expression which I'm sure can do the same thing. I will have to try it. Off now to be creative! Happy Birthday Scrapbook & Cards Today! Hope you all have a great day!

I have a circut all you do is cut out the Wewords and then use the negative space for aligning. I use removal adhesive attach to card the glue letters into negative space. Remove negative space. Presto letters added to cards. It does take a bit of practice. Works great if you can't weld your letters.
