Hello SCT friends! It''s Sheri Reguly here today, with a summer vacation layout to share with you. I love incorporating scenic shots into my layout designs. The majority of the time, I tend to print these images on a smaller scale, allowing my "portrait type" images to take center stage. This time, however, I decided to mix things up a bit.
I loved the look of the single palm tree against the bright sky and fluffy white clouds, and the image I snapped at the daiquiri bar, it contains pretty much every color in the rainbow. I opted to print these two snapshots in color, and make them my focal images, while converting my portrait shots to black and white and printing them as 2x2 supporting images.
This is a great little trick for when you have portrait type images that aren't of the best quality, or even if they contain distracting objects/colors in the background.
(Supplies: Patterned Paper: Simple Stories, Crate Paper; Stickers: Simple Stories, Jillibean Soup; Enamel Dots: Simple Stories,My Mind's Eye; Wooden Button: American Crafts)
Thank you so much for joining me and I hope you try this fun trick too! Wishing you all a wonderful day! :)
