Big Shot giveaway with Stampin' Up! and a BTS wrap up!

Happy Friday!  Can you believe the weekend is almost here?  It's been a pretty busy week around the SCT offices so we are little glad to see the weekend on the horizon.  We thought we would give you a little BTS (behind the scenes) idea of what is really happening 'round here.  First, this happened...

That would be just 1/3 of the 41 boxes that landed this week!  What's in them you ask?  Hundreds of pounds of beautiful product for our Crop & Create event classes, all the goodies for our legendary attendee "goodie" bags at the events and all the product for the soon to be revealed Crop & Create: Delivered fall kit (which is GORGEOUS!)  While the inventory process always take while, it may have taken some extra time as we "oooohhhhed" and "aaahhhed" at each box.  If you joining us at an event this fall or order a kit on September 2nd, you're in for a TREAT!  

This week the team was also hard at work on the 2015 Sketch Planner!  GASP!  You're going to love it!  The 2014 Sketch Planner sold out in no time and when you see what this team has up their sleeves, you will want to preorder this amazing special issue starting October 20th!

Of course we are hard at work on the fall issue and announced yesterday that designer Cathy Zielske is joining the SCT team as a contributing writer!  That girl is armloaded with amazing design principles and typography skills and we are excited to welcome her to the SCT family.

Crop & Create Moncton, NB - March 20/21st - Special guest:  Kim Hupke from Spellbinders

Crop & Create Winnipeg, MB - April 18/19th - special guest:  to be announced soon!

We are very excited to welcome Ali and Katie to our Markham event!  Ali will be hosting two special classes and will also share a great key note address with all attendees.  This is an event not to be missed as this will be Ali's only teaching event in Canada and they are equally as excited to be joining us.

We are also thrilled to be welcoming Kim Hupke to her third Crop & Create event!   WOW!  With classes that are filled with beautiful projects and fun surprises, Kim is a fabulous teacher and an even greater friend to many.   We cannot wait to see what she has in store for everyone!

More details will follow as they become available on our website.  We just wanted everyone to get the dates on calendars and start the excitment for another round of fabulous weekends of inspiration, sharing and friendship.  Who are we kidding, they are like a big girl's weekend and we CANNOT wait to see everyone and welcome these amazing teachers too!

Summer cover reveal!!!

We know that summer is just around the corner when we can reveal our summer issue cover to YOU, our fabulous readers!!!  Mark your calendars as this issue will be available in stores, to subscribers and online for free download/viewing on Friday, June 20!  We love the layout by design team member Lisa Dickinson and that sweet boy on the cover is Kelly Goree's son Carson!  What a doll he is!  With that, here is our summer issue cover...

Taylored Expressions giveaway...and more!!!

Happy Friday SCT friends!  It's a very busy Friday so settle in as there is lots to share today! 

 

"Crafting For a Cure is a not-for-profit registered charity that looks for opportunities to ensure children are having a positive experience when a hospital visit is necessary."

We are once again thrilled to be partnering with Crafting for a Cure this weekend at the annual Kilometers for Kids event in Vaughan, Ontario!  We will be onsite creating inspiration filled cards with all the high school participants that will all be donated to children's hospitals across Canada.  We were amazed last year at how much these high school students put into their cards and the beautiful messages they wrote in them.  Big hearts at this event.  If you are anywhere in the area tomorrow, be sure to stop by and create a card too!

This will also kick off our SCT Cards for Kids campaign!  We would love our readers from around the world to create an inspiration filled card for a child and send it to us at:

We will take all the cards created and donate them to Crafting for a Cure at the Creativ Festival here in Toronto in the fall!  Last year we donated over 800 cards and it was a beautiful feeling when we gave all those cards to Pamela, the of Crafting for a Cure...and there just may have been a few tears too! You are welcome to sign the card from you, or decorate it and leave blank and the nurses and staff will write in the card.  So SCT readers, let's get creating and see if we can donate 1K cards this year!  And thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to be a part of SCT's Cards For Kids campaign.  

Next up, the Crop & Create Cornwall information is up on the site and registration opens for alumni (anyone who has attended any Crop & Create event) on May 26th at 8:00 p.m. EST!  Regular registration opens the following day, May 27th at 8:00 p.m. EST!  It is going to be our largest event this year and already we have ladies joining us from our events in Winnipeg, Moncton, Markham along with friends from New York and the United Kingdom too!  It is going to be an incredible weekend filled with so much inspiration and creativity at the fabulous NAV Centre...and a weekend not to be missed!  (pssst...there is even a lower price!)  If you have any questions whatsoever, contact me at [email protected] or visit our website HERE.
