Jen Chapin, a sweet layout and a PageMaps sketch!

Hi everyone! Jen Chapin here today, and I am sharing a summer themed scrapbook page with you using one of the PageMaps sketches from the Summer 2017 issue. I thought this sketch was perfect for a few swimming photos taken this weekend.

I have been loving 8.5x11 layouts lately, so I knew I needed to take advantage of this sketch. I started with an 8.5x11 piece of white cardstock, then printed my photos at 3x3 square.

For this page, I used Bella Blvd's "Secrets of the Sea" collection which is perfect for water and swimming photos. The palette is so bright and fun, and I love the icons!

I started by free hand cutting a circle from patterned paper and stitched it on to the top right of the page. Then, I used my sewing machine to free stitch another circle on the page to act as a mat for my photos.

After adding a few more embellishments and some journaling, my layout was complete! I hope you'll try this sketch, it's a fun one!

May sketch challenge entries...and a WINNER!

A couple of weeks ago we challenged you in THIS blog post to create a cart based on a PageMaps card sketch from our spring issue!  With only a couple of weeks to create from this sketch you shocked us with the number of entries to this challenge! This was timely, because I've actually had to make quite a few graduation cards for my son's friends (class of 2017! :-) )

May card sketch challenge!

Good morning SCT friends! We are loving the response to the PageMaps sketch challenges we've been challenging you with each month! Becky Fleck of PageMaps is the mastermind behind all these sketches and we are thrilled to be working with PageMaps again in each issue. If you're looking for more sketches of all shapes and sizes, be sure to see the 100's (and 100's!) of sketches available for free download from the PageMaps website!

Sketch Challenge reveal...and a winner!

Happy Saturday everyone! On February 1st we revealed our second sketch challenge for 2017 (look for them on the 1st of each month!) and this one was a card sketch! What a HUGE response we had to it! February Sketch Challenge!

With the great success of our January Sketch Challenge (thank you!!!) we are pretty excited to share with you the February Sketch Challenge! This month it's a card sketch from our Winter 2016 issue created by Cathy Z! SCT Summer Sketch Challenge is here!

Good morning SCT friends! As we are more than halfway through July we thought it a perfect time for a sketch challenge! We're sure you've taken many summer photos by now that need to be on a layout so we chose one of our favourite sketches by Cathy Zielske from the summer issue and have a challenge for you!
